WARDOGS Field Guide is an independent, English-language fan reference built to make official pre-release information easier to verify and use.
What this guide covers
The launch edition focuses on facts that can be checked before public Early Access data exists: Control Zone scoring, the persistent cash concept, the Hot Zone, player-defined roles, vehicles, construction and destruction, voice chat, access status, PC requirements, controller limits, anti-cheat disclosure, Linux priority, playtest carryover, and safe troubleshooting. It deliberately does not publish weapon rankings, loadout recommendations, map routes, sensitivity settings, recoil tables, time-to-kill values, vehicle rankings, or exact economy rates without stable public evidence.
How facts are verified
Sources are evaluated in a fixed order: the official Steam store, pinned developer FAQ, official Steam announcements, Team17, BULKHEAD, the official community signup, and direct developer replies. Each guide displays the first-party sources it uses and a last-reviewed date where timing or compatibility can change. When official sources do not settle a question, the page says that the detail is not officially confirmed instead of filling the gap with predictions, search snippets, player comments, or material covered by a playtest agreement.

WARDOGS Field Guide is not an official WARDOGS website, wiki, or Team17 publication. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by BULKHEAD, Team17, Valve, or the WARDOGS rights holders. WARDOGS names, game concepts, and linked official materials remain the property of their respective owners. The launch visual system is original CSS artwork inspired by tactical maps and field instruments; it does not copy the reference site’s brand, logo, illustrations, icons, or proprietary visual assets.
Update policy
Pre-release details can change. Version-sensitive pages retain a visible source-review date, while SEO titles and route metadata come from one typed registry to prevent conflicting claims. Major expansion into weapons, maps, settings, detailed statistics, or competitive recommendations waits for public Early Access evidence, official documentation, or real search demand that can be answered responsibly. Corrections are made at the factual source boundary rather than by silently replacing uncertain language with a stronger claim.
