Official access paths
There are two first-party places to check:
- WARDOGS community signup. The official signup service manages the broader playtest registration process described by the developer.
- The WARDOGS Steam page. Steam may show a “Request Access” control for the playtest when that path is available.
The pinned developer FAQ also directs players to official announcement channels after signup. Treat the official account, dashboard, and Steam notices as the live status. WARDOGS Field Guide does not promise keys, estimate invite probability, or reproduce access instructions from unofficial sellers.
What happens after signup
Submitting the requested details makes you eligible for the process described by the official service. It is not an access guarantee. Capacity, test goals, account requirements, and invite timing remain under the developer’s control.
If you are waiting:
- confirm that you used the official
community.wardogs.comaddress; - check the email and account connected to the signup;
- look at the current Steam store page for access state;
- watch official WARDOGS announcements;
- do not pay a third party for a claimed invite.
Progress and cash
The pinned FAQ answers one narrow carryover question: cash earned during early pre-alpha playtests will not carry into the full game. That statement should not be stretched into a permanent rule for every future test. If a later test publishes different progress terms, its current official notice becomes the relevant source.
Confirmed
- An official WARDOGS community signup exists
- Steam can expose a Request Access path
- Early pre-alpha cash will not carry to the full game
Not confirmed
- Guaranteed entry after completing signup
- A fixed invite probability or queue position
- Permanent progress rules for every future test
- An evergreen playtest countdown
If access does not appear
Start with account status, not PC repair steps. A missing game in your Steam library can simply mean the account has not been invited or the current test is closed. Confirm the invite channel before reinstalling Steam, changing files, or altering system settings.
Once access is confirmed, compare the PC with the official requirements and use Steam’s normal install and verification tools. The troubleshooting guide keeps those checks separate from unverified registry edits, launch flags, and firmware advice.

01How do I sign up for a WARDOGS playtest?
Use the official WARDOGS community signup and check the Steam store for a Request Access control. Follow official announcement channels for current test notices.

04Will early playtest cash carry into the full game?
The developer FAQ says cash from early pre-alpha playtests will not carry over to the full game.
