What Steam confirms

The WARDOGS store page contains two direct disclosures: “Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat” and “Easy Anti-Cheat.” Those statements are specific enough to report without interpreting how every component behaves internally.

The Secure Boot boundary

The current official store requirements and pinned FAQ reviewed for this guide do not provide a stable statement making Secure Boot mandatory for WARDOGS. That absence matters because firmware changes can affect device security and boot behavior.

This guide therefore does not provide BIOS or UEFI steps. If the developer later publishes an explicit requirement, the correct instructions should come from current motherboard or system documentation and be tied to the exact operating-system state.

Safe checks before system changes

If an anti-cheat message appears in a public build:

1. Read the full error and record its exact wording.
2. Confirm that the Steam client and WARDOGS are current.
3. Use Steam’s built-in file verification.
4. Check the official WARDOGS announcements and support channels for that error.
5. Follow a firmware instruction only when an official requirement specifically calls for it.

Do not delete system files, use unknown repair tools, or change security settings from an undated third-party fix.
