Identify where the failure happens

Failure stageEvidence to collect
Before the main menuStartup message, OS, installed update
Joining a serverServer ID, time, whether the client closes or only disconnects
During gameplayLast reproducible action, settings, crash dialog
GPU-related errorGPU model, driver version, resolution and Frame Generation state

A connection timeout is not necessarily a client crash. If the game remains open, start with server status or queue and kick checks.

Reversible checks

Restart once after applying pending updates. Use Steam’s installed-file verification. Compare the complete PC against requirements, including 16 GB RAM and the appropriate CPU/GPU tier.

Use official driver and OS update channels. Record changes so you can tell whether one adjustment affects the failure. Do not delete arbitrary system files, apply registry scripts or install unofficial repair tools.

Frame Generation and published fixes

Season 1 allows DLSS Frame Generation to be disabled without a restart. If the failure appears tied to that feature, record its current state and compare with it disabled. This is an isolation test, not a claim that disabling it fixes every GPU crash.

The launch notes also fix crashes involving buildables, scheduled network calls, a chatbox tooltip and a weapon whose owner left. Those categories may help describe a reproduction, but a matching symptom alone does not diagnose the underlying cause.

Send a reproducible report

Include build, timestamp/timezone, hardware, driver, exact error, settings and the shortest reproduction. State what you already tried. Share through developer-directed support or the official community, with personal details redacted.

What changed

The guide now uses named Season 1 and 0.11 crash fixes. No invented error code, mandatory firmware setting, launch flag or “100% fix” is presented.

Update history

Reviewed against current Steam requirements, developer FAQ and Season 1 announcements.
